“I love it here!

I have lived at the Village for a year and a half now. During that time, every need that my husband (who is in the skilled nursing) and I have had has been met! I don’t know of anything that we could ask for that we couldn’t find here. I believe that God found this place for us. He made it ready when it was time to have someone care for us. Our children had asked several times, especially since their dad’s illness, if we would like them to find a place for us, but I wasn’t quite ready. When I became ill and in the hospital, I knew they were right and told them it was time. Thank goodness they found the Village. I have a beautiful apartment that is only a short hall away from my husband. We can still spend the day together while getting the services we individually need. We lived in Tallassee, AL for 42 years and now have a wonderful life here at the Village. I love it here, and they’d have to get the biggest bulldozer to move me out of here!”

“I love this place!

I looked at several places before I chose the Village and I love it! I have to be doing something all the time, like a project. In this stage of my life, I want to give to others and living here allows and enables me to do just that. You know, when I was working, my life was about making money, raising a family, business, trying to better myself. I don’t mean to sound altruistic, but living at the Village allows me to give back to others. I just put a new walker together for my neighbor and she is thrilled. Helping others gives me a sense of satisfaction. I take less medication than ever! I’ve lead exercise classes and love showing fellow residents how to get the most from stretching and movement. We walk around the lake every day. I try to show people to try new things that you have never done before. I love this place. I know I’m a rebel rouser, too!”

“We are thankful to be part of the Village family!

My husband and I have had various family members at The Village for a total of more than 13 years. During these years the staffs of Assisted Living, Specialized Assisted Living, Rehab, and Skilled Nursing have provided excellent care for our loved ones in a homey atmosphere. We are thankful to be a part of The Village family.”

“Our Mother is happy, safe and content.

It will soon be four years since Mother and Dad moved into Cook Springs (Assisted Living). Both parents were fragile and needed around the clock care. After trying sitters for several weeks, we discovered Cook Springs. The skilled nursing care, dietary services with three meals a day, housekeeping, laundry service, chapel services, a variety of activities, and location were the reasons we selected Cook Springs. The extra benefits that our family has realized are the compassion and patience of the staff. Both Mother and Dad have been in the rehab center and our Dad was in the nursing home’s long term care before passing two years ago.

The gentle and loving spirit shown to our Mother at this beautiful facility gives us peace. We know that every day she is receiving exceptional care and love. The best testimony for Cook Springs is that our Mother is happy, safe and content.”

“The personnel are caring and compassionate.

Both of my parents moved to the Village at Cooks Springs in 2012. My father is currently in Wisteria and my mother was in Cornerstone until her passing in June 2012. Words cannot truly express the heartfelt appreciation for the staff and programs at Village of Cooks Springs. The personnel are caring and compassionate. Their actions exhibited the same kind of love that we, as family, have for our parents. It gives us peace of mind knowing that they were and still are being cared for so well.”
